Cinemas and Theatres
Sell seats for a film or a performance from the same catalogue and the same sales document as the cashier. The website keeps its own pages, film text, and images. The schedule, the free seats, and the ticket come from Lua CRM at that moment.
Key Features for Cinemas and Theatres
Sini, Asa, ne Nkonnwa
A film is a service in the catalogue. A hall is a room. The hall seat grid is drawn once in the CRM and stays the same for every show.
Daily Sessions
A session is that film in that hall, shown every day between a start date and an end date at one specific time. A show that has already started is not offered.
Ten-Minute Seat Hold
A visitor selects a date, then a session, then available seats. Selecting seats reserves them for 10 minutes. Until this hold expires, the cashier at the POS and other users on the website or mobile app will see those seats as taken. Leaving the checkout or releasing the hold frees up the seats. When the 10 minutes are up, the CRM automatically frees them.
One Sales Document
Checkout creates a normal confirmed sales document, the same document a cashier would create in POS. One line per seat, priced from the film price list. The website or mobile order number is stored on that document, so sending the same order again does not create a second sale.
Ticket Code
Each sold seat gets a ticket code. The app draws the QR from that code. The CRM does not return a QR image.
Payment and Returns
If the request includes a payment, the CRM records it for that sale, just as a POS takes cash or card, into a CRM account. If payment is not included, the sale is still confirmed and the seats remain sold, but the document remains unpaid until a later payment is made. Cancelling the sale, or only some of its seats, creates a sales return and those seats become available for that show again. Deleting or cancelling the document within the CRM has the same effect.

How It Works
1. Keep the Site Pages
What the visitor reads and sees stays on that cinema or theatre website: layout, film text, and images. Lua CRM is not a second catalog.
2. Schedule the Show
Set the film, the hall, and the seating plan. A session runs every day between a start date and an end date at one start time.
3. Hold Seats and Sell
The visitor selects a date, a session, and available seats. The hold lasts 10 minutes. Checkout records one confirmed sale, one line per seat.
4. Ticket, Payment, Return
Each seat gets a ticket code. Payment can be recorded with the sale or later. A return, or canceling the document in the CRM, frees those seats for that show.
Why Choose Lua CRM for Cinemas and Theatres?
One System of Record
The schedule, the seats, and the sale all live in Lua CRM. The website and the mobile app both read what is live at that moment: which films are scheduled, which seats are free, and whether the ticket was sold. There is no secondary data store.
Same Partner API
The website server and the mobile app call the same partner API with the API key and secret. The secret stays on the server. It is never placed in a public page. Routes and fields are the Cinema section of the Lua CRM API docs.
